The Waitaki Old Boys Network (“the Network”) is an independent alumni community operated by the Waitaki Old Boys Association.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with New Zealand privacy law.

  • register as a member

  • complete your profile

  • submit forms or feedback

  • engage with the Network

This may include:

  • school details, including year group, house, and involvement

  • areas where you are willing to help others

  • profile photos, videos, and other content you choose to upload

  • communications you send to the Network

  • build and maintain the alumni network

  • create and display member profiles

  • help members connect with each other

  • facilitate introductions, mentoring, work opportunities, and community activity

The purpose of the Network is to help members connect.

By joining the Network, you understand that:

  • your profile information may be visible to other members

  • some profile details may be publicly viewable, depending on how the platform is set up

  • other members may contact you based on the information you choose to include

You are responsible for deciding what information you include in your profile.


5. Third-party platforms

We use trusted third-party tools and service providers to operate the Network, including website, form, database, and directory platforms.

Your information may be stored or processed through these service providers as part of operating the Network.

We take reasonable steps to work with providers that handle data securely, but we cannot guarantee the security of third-party systems.


6. Student or authorised representative involvement

As part of building and maintaining the Network, students or other authorised representatives may assist with:

  • interviewing members

  • creating or updating member profiles

  • uploading content and profile information

Anyone involved in this work is expected to handle personal information appropriately and in line with this Privacy Policy.

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, or alteration.

However, no website or online platform can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and use of the Network is at your own risk.

  • update your profile information

  • remove your profile or request deletion of your personal information, where appropriate
